Honors Courses: Smaller, more interactive classes with focus on critical, analytical thought and discussion. Honors Faculty: Interactions with honors faculty in the classroom, for undergraduate research, and during program events. Honors House: The Honors House has a computer lab, WiFi, reading room, study areas, meeting rooms, cable TV, and a full kitchen. Honors students study between classes or hang out with members of the honors community. Honors Learning Community: The third floor of Merick Hall is for honors students and is a great way to become involved and get to know other honors students. The Student Honors Council meets regularly and offers honors students experience in leadership and opportunities for impact on the program. Any honors student can be a member of the Council. Officers are elected by a vote of the honors students. Events and Activities: These have recently included: crafts, trivia, games, dinners, dances, messy Olympics, etc. Planned by the Student Honors Council. Field Trips: Arranged by the honors program, the Student Honors Council, and in some honors sections of classes. Service to the Community: Planned by the Student Honors Council to give honors students opportunities to give back to the community.
